I hope you can join us for this unique experience at Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation. Please read all the information below and RSVP if you can join us. Let me know if you will meet us at the Bull Moose or if you prefer to car pool from DTC.

We have an opportunity to meet (face to face) some amazing wolves with a very special purpose in this life and to provide HTA sessions for several wolves and wolf/dog mixes who call this place home. I encourage you to come and hear the amazing story of how RMWF began with Cheyenne, a wolf that was able to detect cancer in many individuals (confirmed by drs) and brought people from around the world to Guffey to meet her. We will receive a personal tour of the facility, and for those interested, an opportunity to be in the pen with a few wolves that have taken on Cheyenne's mission of healing. (note - they love to lick your face). We are going to start an hour earlier than last year so we have time to work on the wolves before dark.

Details:
November 3, 2013
We will meet at 11:00 AM at the Bull Moose in Guffey.
Bull Moose will have three lunch menu items for $10.95 for us to select from so they can serve us quickly
I'll forward the menu later and submit by 10/25, or you can bring your own lunch and eat later at the wolf sanctuary
Facility tour/meet wolves @ 1pm (the afternoon is reserved for us so we can stay as late as we like, they start howling at dusk)
(I assume we will leave shortly after dark, exact time is not known)

Car pool - meet at Drury Inn (I25 and Dry Creek, NW corner, park on west side) 8:30 AM (takes almost 2.5 hours to get there)
Bull Moose: 1245 Canon Street, Guffey, CO 80820

Things to know:
Minimum $25 donation per person is being requested on their behalf as the tours are their primary funding source
The group size is limited to 25, first to rsvp (open to HTA practitioners first)(if availability, we will open to family members)
Sessions will be hands-off, projected from outside the enclosures.

Pacific Northwest Regional Conference

Regional conferences are a wonderful way to connect with your local Healing Touch community. Sharing knowledge and experience with other practitioners and instructors from your region is very valuable in supporting your work. We often see Healing Touch spread in clinical settings throughout regions once exciting news of growth of the work is shared. Develop resources that you can turn to for advice and support. If you ever feel isolated, or unsure of what is happening with Healing Touch in your area, be sure to take advantage of the opportunities a regional conference presents.

As the energy of connection and unity spreads throughout the world, think about the ways that you can unite with your local or regional Healing Touch sisters and brothers. Learn what others are doing and experiencing in their environments and how it can benefit you. In addition to supporting you professionally, a regional conference also offers the opportunity for self care and personal connection. Honor yourself with time well spent for your personal and professional growth.

Hoofs and Woofs is a not for profit public benefit corporation who rescues serviceable horses, livestock and others. Because they take in animals that are mostly found to be abandoned, unwanted, or otherwise uncared for, they as a result, have many animals (especially horses) that could benefit from being around people who care. They have several horses, cats, dogs, one sheep and even a cow. Bring your books, tools, water, sunscreen, a hat, and extra smiles to work with a group of animals that are eager to meet new humans and who would very much benefit from and are ready to receive some healing touch! Let me know if you are able to join us. This will be our first time with this organization. Look forward to connecting soon. Thank you
for all you do for the animals in our community!

Location: 12858 N. Sierra Circle Parker, CO 80138
Located near Parker Road just south of E470. Parker Road to Pine Lane (south of E470). East on Pine Lane, up hill, past first stop. Take next left on Dixon (Sierra Vista sign). Take 1st right on Sierra Circle - they are the 5th house on the right.

This volunteer group will provide you with opportunities to work with horses, burro's, goats, llamas, sheep, dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys and ducks.

The animals are wonderful to work with and may accelerate your skills as you become more comfortable working off body - this will be a great help before level 3 in August. Of course, you can always work with the dogs, cats and horses if you prefer, they typically allow hands on. And you may prefer to work in pairs so one can hold the animal.

Harnesses/halters are available if needed. Volunteers will also be available as needed. We will be outside so please bring sunscreen, hats etc. You may want to bring a pad to kneel on or portable chair for the little guys as we will be in the enclosure with all of them. We will need to have open eyes as the horses are in this enclosure also. They will tie up Pancake, the goat that likes to butt.

Additional Request: they are no longer receiving fresh fruits/vegetables from their suppliers. For a special treat after the energy work, please bring fruits/vegetables (no bread, no citrus) for the animals - they love it! Apples and carrots are their favorite, leafy greens are also healthy for them. We are also invited to bring our own lunches and can have time together on their front porch before we head home.

Please RSVP if you are able to make it. And again, please let me know if your plans change and cannot make it after you RSVP. I'll send a confirmation email with directions closer to the date to those who have RSVP. Remember to bring your manuals, pendulums, treatment forms, essential oils (L3, 4), tuning forks (L2, 4)... (and chair/pad) and your big hearts as we raise the vibration in our community!

Due to the storm, we have rescheduled Cavy Care for Sunday March 3rd, same time. Please let me know if you can attend this date... They just received 40 guinea pigs from New Mexico, all terrified, chewed up, many pregnant!! This is in addition to the 40 they already had. This organization never refuses the little ones. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could support their amazing dedication with a large group of HTA practitioners!

Even though our winter has been mild, it is always fun to spend a winter afternoon at Cavy Care - home of 40+ guinea pigs looking for their permanent homes. If you haven't been before, it is a hoot, or shall I say "whistle". If you have, please join us again on Sunday 2/24 from 1-4pm. Additionally, we can work with their family dogs, fish, bearded dragson (they love the work) and whatever other critters make their way to this special place. We will receive lessons on how to handle the little ones and some interesting facts. 99% of them love to be held so we can do hands-on techniques with most. Remember to bring your manuals, pendulums, treatment forms, tuning forks and a pad/chair - and your big hearts as we together raise the vibration in our community! Please note there are many cautions using essential oils with guinea pigs and rabbits so it is best to not use the oils unless you have researched those species specifically.

We are having an all level HTA practice group at HARPS, Hooved Animal Rescue & Protection Society for an opportunity to assist our larger animals. HARPS is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that was founded in 2201 by Donna Ewing, one of the nation's best-known and respected rescuers of abused and neglected horses and other hooved animals. As the founder and former director of the Hooved Animal Humane Society (HAHS), Donna has over forty years of experience in rescuing hundreds of horses and contributing to the rehabilitation of thousands more. In Illinois, Donna played a key role in the passage of the 1973 "Humane Care For Animals Act" legislation (which was over 220 years old) along with State veterinarian Dr. David Bromwell. They worked diligently with attorneys and state legislators in getting the laws changed so that Illinois then represented the first state in the country to have the best laws governing the protection of hooved animals. Nancy is collating a list of horses, ponies, donkeys, cows, & goats with their ages and their health concerns. In addition to HARPS, depending upon our turn out, we also have an opportunity to work at another farm just a few miles away. Please RSVP to Kathy T if you are able to attend. Remember to bring your workbooks, pendulums, water, snack, (essential oils, tuning forks, if appropriate) as well as your HTA successes and questions! Please note, I will be asking everyone to sign a waiver of liability for HTA and HARPS. Please contact me for any questions as well as your RSVP, which can be by phone or email. I am looking forward to seeing you!

There are typically 30-40 rescued donkeys at this shelter in need of compassion and care.
