Meet Carol Komitor

Carol Komitor, CMT, HTCP/I, CHBMT, HTACP, ESMT

Founder Healing Touch for Animals®

Carol with GiraffeCarol Komitor, as a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner and Instructor, Certified Massage Therapist, Certified Hospital Based Massage Therapist, witnessed the powerful, often dramatic, effects of energy medicine on humans. Her 13-year background as a veterinary technician and a Healing Touch Certified Instructor, since 1991, inspired her to develop energy medicine techniques for animals. Carol’s passion brought about a program of experiential workshops offering a cooperative model that bridges holistic animal healthcare with traditional veterinary medicine.

Through the experience of working with world-class trainers, veterinarians, animal shelters and her private clients, and extensive studies, Carol formulated the curriculum for the multi-level, energy medicine program known as Healing Touch for Animals®. The Healing Touch for Animals® techniques taught were created and cultivated by Carol through study, practice and experiential knowledge.

Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) was launched in 1996 with the first workshop held in Hunt, Texas. The students who gathered came to learn how to heal their animals, and in turn, they also found new avenues to facilitate healing in themselves.

In 2005, HTA launched the opportunity for its practitioners to become certified as a Healing Touch for Animals® Certified Practitioner (HTACP). Our HTACP’s are working along side veterinarians, with trainers, in shelters, and with individual animal owners to enhance the cooperative model of animal healthcare. Healing Touch for Animals is now offered on a worldwide basis.

Carol has an active Healing Touch for Animals and Healing Touch for people practice in Colorado. This continued, close connection with the work has allowed Carol to keep expanding her knowledge and understanding of the healing process and energy medicine. Her private practice gives her the opportunity to develop new effective techniques to aid in the healing of animals. Carol’s practice includes distance healing for those who are unable to come to her in person.
