Carol Komitor, CMT, HTCP/I, ESMT, HTACP

HTA Founder & Director, Instructor

Carol Komitor is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Instructor, a Certified Massage Therapist, Certified Hospital Based Massage Therapist, and an Equine Sports Massage Therapist. As founder and director of Komitor Healing Method, Inc. (KHM) and Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA), Carol has been a leading authority in the forefront of energy medicine and bio-field therapies for animals since 1996. She easily shares her passion for energy medicine with her students and finds great joy in honing their skills to enhance the well-being of our animal population. Carol can assess a particular situation and break it down into the components of energy dynamics. This talent allows her to facilitate the animal’s healing process and create change in the patterns of chronic illness or misbehavior. Carol’s enthusiasm shines as she shares HTA/KHM with her students. Her integrity, professionalism and dedication to cooperative applications to veterinary medicine come through as she presents the HTA/KHM curriculum. She sees the diversity of her classroom participants and honors each one as they bring their own special talents to the HTA work. Read more about Carol Komitor

Henriëtte Roosendaal, HTAP

Instructor

Henriëtte Roosendaal has spent her lifetime around all kind of animals, especially horses, and feels a special connection with them. She has more than 30 years’ experience in riding and training horses in Dressage, Reining and Halter. Henriëtte has a successful career as a Process Architect designing and coordinating large business changes on an organizational and system level. In 2004, she attended her first Healing Touch for humans workshop. When Carol Komitor taught a Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) Level 1 workshop in the Netherlands a year later, Henriëtte was immediately interested. During that first class she recognized HTA would have a big impact on her life and during the following years she traveled to the United States to attend the upper levels of HTA to develop her skills. She is impressed by the results HTA has shown her as she works on all kinds of animals with a variety of issues. Henriëtte is combining her job in business with her private practice, “Pets & People”, and is teaching HTA Levels 1 and 2 in the Netherlands.

“It is wonderful to see students from different backgrounds recognize the animal’s reaction during an HTA treatment. This makes them enthusiastic about the role they can play to improve the lives of many animals with the use of the HTA techniques.  That is what makes teaching the HTA workshops so special!”

Kim Thornton, ESMT, HTACP

Instructor

A graduate of Rice University, Kim had a successful career in human resource management and corporate real estate before establishing a private holistic healthcare practice. While Kim works with a variety of animals, her passion is to use Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) with competition horses in support of their special needs. Kim finds inspiration in the ability of HTA to profoundly affect the lives of animals and to deepen the connection between animals and humans. Kim has spent her lifetime around horses, training and competing in hunter-jumpers and 3-day eventing. Kim currently studies and competes professionally in dressage and enjoys helping horses and riders work in harmony to achieve their potential. Kim and her husband, Bruce, share their 30 acre farm with a large family of cats and dogs.

“Through HTA, we have an opportunity to develop a deeper connection with our animals, supporting them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It truly is an honor to feel that core connection with another being and experience the oneness that connection brings. As a member of the HTA team, I am blessed with the opportunity to share this knowledge with others through the workshops and expand energetic awareness in our communities.”

Mary Beth Genter, B.S., M.Ed., HTACP, Reflexologist

Instructor

Mary Beth has lived in Pennsylvania her entire life. She received her B.S. from Kutztown University and her Masters in Education from Lehigh University. She was a teacher and a reading consultant for the Allentown School District until she left to raise her family. Mary Beth was also part of the small businesses environment for many years. In 2004, she was looking for a change in her life and was wondering what that would be. She wanted work with animals but was unsure of the direction to take. The next day she received an email from a friend about a workshop called Healing Touch for Animals® Little did she know what changes that simple email would bring to her life. Since that time, Mary Beth not only completed all levels of HTA, but became a reflexologist and completed Level 3 of Healing Touch. She has also taken workshops in gemstone therapy. Through it all, her main focus has always been HTA. Mary Beth’s involvement in HTA has brought her much greater exposure to the animal population and a greater appreciation for her own animals. Currently, one dog and two cats share her home.

“As an instructor, I am honored to share this work that I love with others. Bringing the workshops to this area and watching the HTA community expand is very rewarding and allows me to meet many wonderful people.”
