About HTA
Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) is a holistic approach influencing the health and well-being of animals through energy and intention. HTA combines philosophies, techniques and applications to promote energy balance and healing of our animals while providing physical, emotional, mental and instinctual stability.Stabilizing the energy system allows the natural regulation of the immune system which encourages the healing process and promotes well-being.
Healing Touch for Animals® uses energy medicine therapies–recognized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)–to integrate, balance and clear the energy body. HTA works by releasing endorphins to establish a deeper relaxation and state of being, allowing the body to function at a greater level. By allowing muscles to relax, circulation is increased, sending more oxygen, nutrients, and hormones into the body to support healing. HTA techniques work on all levels of the body: physical, mental, emotional and instinctual. These techniques allow the animals to come into a deeper instinctual presence and knowing of their body.
This program introduces holistic concepts to assist with injuries, illness, surgeries, wound healing, behavioral problems and stress related issues. For more information, visit our “Frequently Asked Questions” page.
These empowering workshops are offered in cities throughout the United States, in Canada and in the Netherlands. Read about the first workshop taught in 1996.

HTA techniques work well with Healing Touch for humans
The energy based modality of Healing Touch has been recognized throughout the human medical community since 1989 and is used by more than 75,000 healthcare practitioners worldwide to help provide whole body wellness. These techniques are designed to enhance the healing process and do not replace traditional medical or veterinary healthcare, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment for illness.
Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) is privately owned and is not governed by any other organization. Healing Touch for Animals® endorses the Healing Touch curriculum and the healing work that is facilitated for our human population.
As with people, these techniques for animals are meant to complement traditional health care. They can bring about pain relief, stress reduction, accelerated wound healing and improve immune system function. One of the most fundamental effect students report is the deepening of the bond between them and their animal companions.
Veterinary Professionals
Healing Touch for Animals® can be integrated into holistic and traditional veterinary practices. HTA is a service that can easily be applied by veterinarians, technicians or HTA Practitioners to promote the health and well-being of animals. Healing Touch for Animals® workshops introduce HTA techniques to workshop participants and demonstrate how HTA and energy medicine can be easily used in a veterinary practice. During the workshop participants are guided through various exercises to experience energy medicine for themselves.
Disclaimer
The techniques shared in the workshops are designed to enhance the healing process and do not replace traditional medical or veterinary health care, medical diagnosis or medical treatment for illness. The teaching promotes a cooperative model that bridges holistic animal health care with traditional veterinary medicine. Refer to a licensed medical or veterinary practitioner for medical care.
The HTA techniques were developed by Carol Komitor under Komitor Method of Healing, Inc. The concepts and techniques come from Carol experiential understanding developed through working with clientele, both people and animals, her studies and her use of other energetic modalities.
